From conditions with rain dripping off of my nose onto the stem to times where the dust-filmed stem has been too hot to touch – through near misses, one car incident and 3 wipeouts. The 2013 Allez has served me damn well in training.
With its battle scars from some of the roughest conditions the South West of England has to offer and the painful days spent waging wars with hills, the Allez has become mine. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. The Shimano 2300 gears aren’t always reliable and adjustments are made often. The wheels are a bit on the heavy side and have been trued a couple of times. The aluminium forks have been unforgiving. But it is the best investment of £550 I have ever made.
Is it possible to put a price on happiness?
